Scope

Rework an existing open well pad printer to a closed ink cup pad printer system.

Objectives

1. Design and build the pad assembly which consists of an arm and a quick disconnect system.
2. Design and build the ink cup assembly: arm, quick disconnect system and allow for easy refilling.
3. Design and build the nesting assembly to include a sensor and constraining devices.
4. Design and build the cliché plate holding mechanism.
5. Create a control panel that allows automatic, semi-automatic and manual operation.

Deliverables

1. A fully functional pad printing unit.
2. A control panel which allows fully automatic, semi-automatic or manual operation.
3. An enclosure for the entire system
